An infrared camera doesn't see moisture — it sees temperature difference, which is often caused by moisture. That's why every thermal finding gets confirmed with a meter reading. Anyone quoting work from camera images alone is guessing with better pictures.
What it costs
If we do find something it becomes a restoration job — or a mold remediation if it sat long enough. The inspection is free and there's no obligation. If work is needed you get a written scope before anything starts and you can see typical pricing first; if it isn't, you get told that. We'd rather be the company you call next time than sell you a job you didn't need.

Is the inspection really free?
Yes, and with no obligation. If we find work is needed you get a written scope before anything begins. If nothing is wrong we tell you that.
Can you detect water behind a wall without opening it?
Largely, yes. Thermal imaging shows the temperature differences moisture creates, and moisture meters confirm the actual content in the material. Between them we can map the wet area before deciding whether anything needs opening.
Should I get an inspection before buying a house?
It's worth it if disclosure mentions past water, or if you notice staining, musty odour or soft flooring. Finding out what's behind a repainted wall before closing is considerably cheaper than after.
I dried it myself — do I still need checking?
Often worth it. Surfaces dry long before framing and subfloor do, and the most common call we take is a musty smell weeks after a leak somebody believed was handled.
